Tom Brady took part in his 10th Super Bowl Media Day Monday.
I’ll give you a second to comprehend how absurd that statement is. One player has now been to TEN Super Bowl Week Media Day’s…which is probably more than some reporters have been to. Pure insanity.
Okay, now that you’ve no doubt bowed down to the God-like figure that is 43-year old quarterback Tom Brady, we can dig into a nice little nugget he dropped about his former team. Specifically, his previous head coach, fan-appointed overrated, “team ruiner” Bill Belichick.
Wait a minute, I thought Tom Brady did this all by himself? And that Belichick was, if anything, holding him back by not giving him any weaponz and restricting his “on the field coaching”, unlike his new coach Bruce Arians down in Tampa. Why is he giving any credit to someone else? I thought Tom hated mean old Bill! This cannot be!
I mean, if you listen to his ex teammate Danny Amendola, coaching had little to nothing to do with Tom’s success in New England:
Very out of character for Amendola there! I mean, nevermind that time he went nuts on social media to the point where he needed to be told to calm down by Julian Edelman and to get offline for a bit when his girlfriend broke up with him. Oh, you forgot what he said?…
I believe there should be a boundary btw private life and social media. Olivia believes in fishbowl lifestyle. This fundamental difference was huge in our relationship. If you’re my real friend you know I’m private. My mother, brother, father and nephew are closest to me in this world and you don’t see one picture of them and that’s for their protection from those who criticize and judge. I believe in nailing pictures frames on the inside of my house to remind the ones I love that I care. Olivia chooses and wants to be noticed on the internet and in Hollywood to make money. Which was hard for me to understand but quickly had to learn. Where as the cost of fame in this world doesn’t appeal to me. I play ball for one reason and that’s RESPECT. The only reason I’m writing this post is because, whether I liked it or not, we lived in the public eye. Some of it is amazing! I’ve met some of the nicest people from all over the world and Olivia and I had some amazing times together.. jus like any other loving relationship we fought. A lot of the time it was my fault bc let’s be honest I can be an idiot. But! Yup! She’s f***** up too! and if you cross me I’m a hard mfer to deal with. The universe brought her and I together to enjoy life, love, and learn. We celebrated that as often as we could. And the sex was f****** crazy too. She gets so mad at me for not posting her on social media, but I think this s*** is sometimes fake, sometimes toxic, but sometimes beautiful. And I felt like she had enough pictures online anyway. Truth is I have a whole cellphone of funny, embarrassing, sexy pics IG would love to have. However living a public image isn’t my choice, it’s something Ive learned to deal with. Reading all these wild stories about her and I, and seeing Olivia with other men, I just wanted to personally clear the air out here. We’ve been on and off for a long time and not together as of late! Not sure what’s in the future but the only thing I care about is her HAPPINESS. And if that’s dancing with scrony little f****, so be it. I’m happy too. With that said! Liv! My beautiful ex-Gf! Providence’s finest and Bakers Bay Pancakes

Yeah, THAT guy definitely doesn’t hold grudges or anything. Petty? Nope! Definitely take everything he says as gospel and not skewed to one side due to his hurt feelings.
Sidenote: I find it funny that whenever a disgruntled player or one who leaves on not so good terms with the organization decides to take shots at the team when they’re gone, but yet other players have nothing but good things to say when speaking on the misconception that people have about Belichick and the Pats. Different strokes I suppose.
Anyway, back to a player with some class.
Tom Brady sounds little like his ex coach back when Bill was asked about how he feels about his “legacy” and whatnot after his 300th win in 2019:
It’s almost like both guys know that they wouldn’t have reached the level of success they are at without one another. Which is fine by the way! Again, I’ll keep making this comparison: You don’t have the Eminem we know without Dr. Dre. Conversely, we don’t get the Dre we know now without Shady.
I love hearing this though. As a Patriots fan, this is exactly what we wanted to hear from Tom. i think we all knew, or at least hoped, that he felt this way about the Patriots, but every positive thing he’s said so far has been just that: about the TEAM. Not necessarily the coach. So to hear him actually say it out loud, on record for the whole world to see makes my heart leap out of my chest.
You know what I find funny about all this, though? Both guys say essentially the same thing with different words, but yet they’re viewed by the public entirely differently. All stemming from the age old, unanswerable debate, “what came first, the chicken or th”..oh..wait..I meant the “is Brady or Belichick responsible for the Patriots Dynasty?”
On one side, when Belichick says it you had everyone saying “SEE! See! Even he knows that it’s really the players that made him.”
But yet when Brady says it, it’s “Yeah, yeah, he’s just being modest. He knows that it was basically all him. He’s just putting on a public face like he always does.”
