I mean, blurry and shrouded in darkness up until the end, but still, THE BATMAN IS HERE!
When Robert Pattinson was being reported to play the Caped Cursader, many (yours truly) was uh, not too fond of the casting. But after some deliberation and a deep dive into Pattinson’s film history…I still wasn’t feelin’ it.
But then Matt Reeves dropped this bomb on us and made
every most Battinson detractor get roped right back in. That’s how easy us Batman fans are. You give us a cool looking chest plate, some badass looking armor and a face shrouded in darkness, we’re in. Just like that. Salivating at the lips.
I mean, let’s take another look at this gorgeous, gorgeous suit.
A big takeaway here that there zero bat nipples to talk about. You may remember a certain Bruce Wayne of old having such powerful nipples that they literally popped indents into his indestructible suit.
Oh George Clooney, how was this asinine idea able to make it to the big screen? They’re just so distracting.
But anyway, back to the good stuff. That suit looks AMAZING. It looks so rugged and battle tested. It reminds me of the Daredevil suit that Marvel used on it’s Netflix series.
The cowl looks pretty good too. I mean, it’s tough to really see too much obviously, but from what we can see, it definitely doesn’t look bad! And that’s really all DC and Matt Reeves can hope for at this point. With the recent flop of
Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, the DCEU needs another reliable movie to lean on other than Wonder Woman.
And while Batman is probably one of the most overdone superheroes to date, second to only Spider-Man, there will never not be an audience for it. Batman is one of the most interesting characters in any comic universe and has one of the best rouges galleries in comic history.
With Catwoman, The Riddler and The Penguin all confirmed to be appearing in this movie, and now this big suit reveal or sorts, there’s a pretty good chance that DC has found their next tentpole franchise to saddle with Gal Gadot and Wonder Woman.
