Listen, I get it. Your star player comes back to try to will your team to a crucial victory, and while he helps in achieving that, he also suffers a season ending injury. It’s emotional for everyone involved.
But what the hell is this?
Crocodile tears like you read about! This is a man who knows how much blame is gonna fall on his shoulders today and he’s trying to get out in front of it. This the the owner of a team that knows the greatest player in the world is about to leave his team this offseason and he’s trying to cling to the last shred of hope he has to keep him.
I’ve seen better acting in the WWE. Come on guy, give me at least ONE real tear.
The perfectly times breaths. Pretending to hold back tears while he fake stumbles through his fraudulent emotion-filled speech. It’s sickening.
Yeah no shit we’re gonna blame you bud. You, along with some of Durants actual teammates, peer pressure the star into coming back prematurely. I don’t want this to come off as me being bias in the corner of Durant. I don’t really care for the guy. But the way this team has handled his injury has been ridiculous.
You had Steve Kerr continuing each day to perpetuate the narrative that KD was right on the cusp of coming back. You don’t think Durant heard this? We’re talking about arguably the most sensitive athlete in sports, of course he hears his coach and other anonymous people claiming he should be able to come back soon.
And Kevin being the player he is, wants to show his critics that he ain’t no bitchass, and decided to come back far too early. And look what happened?
The Warriors chance of winning the Finals ended right when Durant’s achilles rolled up. It’s only a matter of time now.
By the way, I love how broken everyone seemed online about this injury. People love to just get upset along with everyone else when they normally wouldn’t care.
